The FanFicAholic Anon Ficsterhood would like to include a fic of the week on the blog and the group.
We are a group who embraces all areas of fanfiction, including fics based on other movies and books besides Twilight.
The fic of the week for week commencing 28th August 2009 is actually two one shots based on the films of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns
The first is called The Passage by Silverspoon and is a one shot from Rick's POV after Evie is killed outside the Oasis of Ahm Shere. The second is called Mercy by Louisa Devereux which is set on the first Mummy film where Evie is about to be sacrificed.

I love Mercy. I remember being struck by it when I read it. The author has managed to capture the essence of the characters so well, whilst showing Rick's already fierce love for Evelyn in a beautiful light. I'm such a Mummy geek!
